these are xmas gifts for the little kids of my friends & colliks - mainly to be use as a bag tag for the kids in school or childcare. Hope they like it just as I do, I enjoyed making them so much!

random christmas crafting

I've gearing up for christmas early and have completed a few projects (ahem, proudly). Somehow, each year I tried to start off early, but procrastination came in and things got out of hand, and my hubby will see me burning midnite oil to finish my crafted gifts ;) that's me! huge procrastinator!

these are plain paper bags that I bought from daiso. I had fun misting, stamping and decorating them - they will be used to hold little gifts for my friends:)

got this memo box from Krafter's Paradise long long time ago and haven't been putting them to good use. Finally add some touches to it, and it looks amazingly beautiful (thickskinned, but i really love the effect!). It can be used as a trinket box to hold your girlie stuff, or use it as a memo holder, and I even plan to put a mini album in one of them :)

well, a notebook always comes in handy in our job. and here is one for Ms T @ work :)

I had fun lately making mini album out of cardstock, thick PP and just glue. This is one mini for a SAHM friend of mine:) Hopefully this raise her mood when she feels down during those 24hrs x 365days of non-stop parenting. Honestly, I doubt I can survived being a SAHM, my patience is so limited. So hats off to C, my dear friend:)

And this is the FIRST xmas project I have completed for 2011, an art journal for a little boy :) Oops, I guess the mummy will be reading here - so just a sneak preview for u.

i've been getting lots of spam comments on this blog lately, since it wasn't a protected blog. I wonder if anyone out there is having the same fate as me? It gets on my nerve when I get such comments and seriously thinking of switching to another blog. But being the most un-technical savvy me, it is a tough move! ;)

so, what have i been up to the last few weeks?? been busy squeezing time out for xmas crafting before it all goes haywired. Not easy with two kids begging to 'share' my supplies. Most of the time, little one messed up my supply, while the big sis looks like a scrapper in the making :)

here is a card inspired by a design by my aunt April Yap's 2Peas - and it reminded me of those manila envelopes sealed with string. It is so appropriate for the birthday of our Dept Admin:)

tried to prepare these paper flowers in advance so it comes in handy when i want to make a card / tag quickly :) learnt the short cuts of scrapping!

phew... 3/4 of a year is soon to be gone, and what have i achieved/ failed...? This is what I've been wondering lately. We so often rush through each day, and by the time we know it - its december already!

i'm so tight with my SB time lately, and i wished to quickly complete my little one's 1st year album before the memories get stale ;) She is already 18months now!

Felt in love with this polaroid mini that I made for my old friend, Annie. For her to bring back to Taiwan. In fact, I think I'm gonna make more of these cute minis!

Then, it was our Big Boss' birthday, and we so aptly have a teambuilding event 2 weeks before his birthday. So I had this Oscar mini album with all our wishes scribbled over it as his birthday gift.

we cant help but HAVE to buy this Boss award from USS :)

I'm a terrible procrastinator. I bought these notebooks 2 months ago, planning to start on Teacher's Day gifts. BUT... I ended up delaying and delaying and having to 'rush' out 12 little notebooks in two nights! Phew~!

I bought the notebooks from Daiso - as they were wrapped in bundle of 3, I did not opened up to check. To my 'horror', they are vertically lined notebooks meant for writing in Jap. So I tilted them the other way round, to make it horizontally lined ;)

and my big princess so anxious to help with the goodie bags packing for her teachers:)

i concluded that i'm very much a paper and glue girl when it comes to scrapping. i kept buying clear stamps for their prettiness, but it took me ages to full utilise them. The stamping, inking, cleaning is a hassle. I prefer to punch, fold, cut and glue ;)

the EK scallop punch is my first love, and i added the circle punch & mini butterfly punch to the family;)

using the leftover fabrics from the kids' pillowcases to make these cute buttons. kawaii ne~!

very very little time to scrap lately coz the girls are taking turn to fall sick again, including myself. Need some miracle pill to get rid of the flubug completely in the household.

there have been massive sales going on at the LSS, how tempting to end the GSS ;) However, I do hope to see more new items on sale, instead of clearing old stock!

Here's what I have done over the last two weeks..not many though.

a last minute notebk for a colleague in Germany, someone who displays lots of passion in her work - thus the vibrant color and the word "passion'.

these notebks were scrapped for a colleague's children aging from 5 to 13 in the States - i called them weekend notebooks coz they are scrapped over a weekend in June:) This would probably be something that cannot be bought i feel. most of the stuff in Sgp can be made available in the States, so I tot that these would probably be something that cannot be bought:)

I've been slacking for awhile as the two girls at home have been taking turns to fall sick (again). Its a tough time whenever the kids fall sick, it means sleepless nights, endless washing of the bedlinens due to their vomitting, and very noisy household due to their crankiness. sometimes, i'm so embarassed at the dim myself that i would close my house' door to save my poor neighbours.

so much of my ranting, and glad they are on the road to recovery:) that's where it all pays off :)

Here is a LO that i scrapped of En and her cousin, on an outing that I took them out during the March school holiday. The two girls knew that I will only bring them out if they behaved themselves, and they did whatever I told them to do. How nice to have such discipline everyday! hahahah

ever since they went to childcare at different locations, they hardly meet up. so En always look fwd to playing with Velle. Me too, am looking fwd to more outings together!

This LO was prepped in advance for my niece's 4th birthday without the pic, in April. Finally, I have some time on hand to edit the pictures taken on her birthday, and made this LO complete :) One LO since I last did LO in end of March!

very simple techniques are used here: paper tearing, layering of primas (lots of it), and fussy-cut some cupcakes from BG paper. I love the cupcakes on this BG paper:) Even the big digit four was cut out from some leftover PP ;)

these resins from MM are lovely, would like to have more even though its adhesive does not last. Hope you had a great weekend!

i havent been scrapping much but i certainly have made an effort to keep my tools tidy & neat, save myself from nagging by dear hubby.

i'm seeing lots of organising bags in the stores and was tempted to get one. But after much consideration, and looking thru the amount of bags and pouches that I owned (i bet all women does!!) - i decided to convert this Elle mini bag into an organiser for my SB tool.

This is a GWP from a Taiwanese mag during my honeymoon in 2006 (wah seh...i sure hoard it for a long time rite) and finally it get to see some daylight out of my storage box!

hope it stays this neat for a long long time!

i've been clearing my stash so that I don't overstock and was saddened to see that this is not acid-free after all! this is an AC album I got from attending a Laines class in 2009 - and was sad to see yellow spots appearing on my cover :( Pls do not claim it is acid free if it is not. Rather upset.

April is a busy month for me, with work picking up, a farewell album for a colleague and a commissioned project u seen im my earlier post.

So on the very last week of April, i scrambled to make this jumbo paper clips as goody bag toppers for the mummies @ work.

I got this idea from my ever creative Aunt April, who gave me a bunch of such paperclips for xmas. Of coz, hers is so much detailed and prettier! I did all this in a nite and glad they turned out okay ;)

the jumbo paper clips are from Daiso, and certainly carry some weight!

This is not scrapbook related, but i tot it was nice to share:)

i havent been doing sewing for the longest time, and wanted to get in touch with my machine again. so here i bought some fat quarters from an online store and got my fingers moving:) in barely 2hrs while the girls were napping one evening, i whipped up two simple bolstercases, 2 coasters and a beansprout pillow with removable cover!

these were done in april, but took me sooooo long to blog it!

bought two fat quarters to make bolster pillowcases for my two princesses, and the leftovers - became coasters:) talk abt stretching my dollar!

i also sew a beansprout pillow for a colleague who gave birth in April to a chubby bb boy:) tot it would be a more useful and practical gift than any store bought gift sets:)

Misting weekend and my recent BG craze

I love MR Mist over paints coz it dries faster, and easier to apply - and minimum cleaning (provided proper protection is done). Spent the kids' naptime misting these chipboard shapes so i can just grab one as and when i need it.

I don't know why it took me years to fall in love with Basic Grey, but once I'm in love - I'm head over heels - absolutely helpless! The moment I stepped into a LSS, I cannot seem to get out without buying at least ONE BG stuff. I esp love these collections.

and I was so lucky to be picked by Krafers' Paradise to be the Feb-2011's winner, and needless to say - this voucher went to a BG Hopscotch Belly Pack which is soooooooooo sweet;)

I got commissioned by Trudy to scrap a First Year album for her new-mummy friend, and here I did a 6 by 6 album, using AC's album and lots of DCVW Nursery PP. Happy viewing:)

spent some time working on the otherwise plain cover. Added a brown based acrylic frame with pins, pearls and lace to the cover. Like the end result:)

somehow, i like the effect of the newly bought AC's epoxy Thickers, the font is so cute!

and i recycled a Sweetest Moment cake box as the album box:)

I believe many of us are saddened & shocked by the massive quake/tsunami and now nuclear leak in Japan. My heart goes out to all the affected people, and once again make me realise that there is just so much we can do in life against such natural disasters.

I'm again impressed by the orderly Japanese society despite such major upheaval to their lives. They again show us their generosity and good discpline by demostrating good behaviours during such trying times. Imagine this happening to Singapore, where people could jump queue and fight over a packet of overpriced nasi briyani on Chinese New Year Day 1 jus because most shops are closed and they are hungry, its not even life threathening -what a big shame.

Though we could not personally be there to help salvage the situation, pls join me to do a part by donating to the organisations belong so they could help more. The following venues of donations are extracted from The Straits Times dd 15th Mar 2011 (link: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/how-you-can-help-japan.html).

Mercy Relief: The organisation is accepting donations to procure relief supplies. It has deployed a two-man preliminary disaster response team to Japan to ascertain ground needs and procure relief supplies.

The MR team will help distribute supplies with UN agencies. It will also collaborate with local non-governmental organisations to support their relief efforts. With an initial tranche of USD $20,000 provided by SAP Asia Pacific Japan, the team will help address the pressing needs for food, water and quilts.

The SRC will take down details of the missing person and forward the information on to its sister national society, the Japanese Red Cross Society and the International Committee of Red Cross. It is also working with the Japanese Association to raise funds.

For cheque donations, please make the cheque payable to Singapore Red Cross and mail to the SRC office at Red Cross House, 15 Penang Lane Singapore 238486. On the back of the cheque, indicate ‘Japan disaster 2011′, name of donor/organisation, contact numbers and address.

World Vision also plans to establish child-friendly spaces so children affected by the disasters can resume normal childhood activities and experience structure and security.

These are the layouts that I've been working on past few weekends:) Its very enjoyable to work on LO as if you are given a huge canvas to play around with, there is no limit to your creativity! Only limit is the free time I have to work on it.

I will try to capture the sources of material that I have used to my best knowledge as I like to mix and match. Its not easy to catch up on their names ;)

lots of love 'pecks' for the ladies in the office. they made excellent present toppers, and is relative economical to make in batches.

What I used here: Medium size cloth pegs from Daiso, a sheet of MM Love Paper (2010 collection), Bella Blvd PP (freehand cut into heart shapes). I just adhere the squares of love messages from the MM Love PP to the heart shapes, and then adhere it to the cloth peg.

just peg them to a gift..

a whole bunch of love for the office, these heart-shape pens are bought from OTC. They write smoothly as well, so practical and appropriate for Vday:)

This photos are taken by TC on En's 4YO birthday. He took her out to Dempsey for lunch and icecream, but the cheeky girl was playing 'hide and seek' when he tried all means to capture her photos. U only get to take her pics while she was enjoying her ice cream!

CNY cards and angbaos..

This year, i scrapped angpao packets for the married ones in the office, and CNY tag w/ holders for the not yet married ones. Hopefully, those who receive my CNY tags will be recieving my angpao packets instead come next year:)

i fell in love with these paper flowers the moment i've learnt to make them. U can make lots of them while watching TV and use them when u need it! Adds lots of dimension to your work:)

the only card i made this New Year is for Cherie Hearts. I used the triangular scraps from my tag holder to make the flag banner. One item, two use:) Clever..ahhaha

and for a very very limited edition - 20 red packets 100% handcrafted for the little nieces, nephews, cousins and friends' kids. There is so much cutting till I get sore thumb!

but oh..i so love them!!

and wished I have time to make more...all are made on CNY eve! Crazy last minute scrapping!

Not quite sure whether I could make it on time for the submission, but here I made it. Hogge these goodies for some time, finally get to use them on some scrap-worthy photos taken by TC.

Journalling says: 27 Dec 2010 - it was jiejie's 4YO birthday lunch with Uncle TC & Auntie Cheryl. But you stole the limelight by being camera-ready @ all times, & looking so cute going through the menu, as if you want to order!

I used mainly PP in this layout to keep the sketch simple. Made a paperclip (top right corner) but rubbing a RubOn onto some PP scrap and adhere it to the layout.

i wanted to try something new for CNY instead of the usual cards - and was inspired by the handmade angpaos that we recieved from aunt april last year - so i got some colored papers to try. i gave up after cutting the yellow paper as a mock up- too much effort, too little time.

so i turned them into tiny envelopes, good for holding money gifts or vouchers in the future, or even a tiny card:) love the butterflies!!

i'm more than pleased with this mock up - CNY mandarin orange bag! This is a little too big but all others went well. I'm gonna carry this around for our CNY visiting!

i think i need to add some shimmer to the MR flower tag

IT was a great start to the new year with a SPRING surprise from Sandy:) Thank you for coming down all the way to my place to present this gift to me! I was having a New Year Day lunch with my girlfriends and so this makes a perfect centrepiece:)

so this is the last day of 2010:) What will you be doing today? Spending some solitude time recapping the past one year of good and bad times? Be at some countdown parties in town, or just hanging out on the couch with a few friends or loved ones? or its just another day for you?

As for me, I've had a good lunch to reward ourselves for 2010, and hopefully to start off a good year again with my colleagues. Tonight, we will be going out for a simple dinner and stayed at home for some videos just to countdown to the New Year!

Thanks to all my friends who remembered my hobby and gave me lovely scrap supplies as xmas gifts! wow, I feel very pampered indeed!

..and an altered frame from Faith! Woah.. I haven't received a SB gift for a long long time and thank u pal!

In the middle of overwhelming age of "consumerism & commercialism", I hope to seek simplicity in 2011..in life.

A little heartwarming story to share..

En was crying for a xmas tree coz she said “my cherie hearts school have it, our neighbours have it, and even the block opp us many houses have it”…so on 17th Dec NIGHT… I cut a diaper carton box and we painted the xmas tree together.. and put up one… she was so happy. We stayed up past midnite to finish this tree, and the first thing in the morning when she woke up, she did not ran to me surprisingly, she ran to the living room to ensure her xmas tree is STILL there. She proudly showed off her Xmas Tree to my other family members who came to celebrate Xmas and her birthday that weekend, saying “I made this xmas tree with my mummy ok”. To me, that was the most ugly xmas tree that I had in my 34yrs!

Kids taught us that happiness is actually more affordable than we thought, if we could live simply. No need real trees, or expensive decorated trees, no nid LV/tiffany/ big cars or big house…just some creativity and solid time spent togetherJ

Thinking of the challenges coming in 2011 makes me excited and of coz anxious as well, but having a correct and positive mindset should see us through the tough times. So enjoy the rest of 2010 and brace up for a good 2011. So my resolution would be “whine less, do more, reap most!”

Snowman Charm Pens for Teachers

Bought some lovely snowman charm pens for En's teachers, the pens are really practical with 6 different colored ink and so festive:)

recycle a EYS box to hold the pens. Just paste over with leftover xmas wrappers, a nice ribbon and a sticker - bingo! No need for commercial bought giftbox

cut these circles from a Autumn Leave's Xmas paper kept for many years - to use as tags. So fun and fast!

i actually quite love these pens, and they write smoothly too!

My First Bottlecap Tag

went pre-xmas shopping with PP and chanced upon these bottlecaps at MWL. So I decided to scrap a xmas tag for her even though I have already given her the xmas gift in advance. Heheh.

My first experience with bottlecap is fun fun fun! I should have more tiny knick knacks to add zest to the bottlecap, but then, simple is nice too. Can't wait to get my hands creating more of this!

Scrapped this LO a month ago and finally found the photos hidden on a wrong folder in my PC. This is my dear princess - already one year into childcare and is happy. The only thing is she kept catching the virus from the other friends in school, and so has lost much weight.

the focal pic was taken in Dec09 when she first started school, left top was a recent one in June10, and the bottom was taken CNY this year. Can see her chubby cheeks are so 'go-going-gone'..

Phew, its been a busy week fulfilling my scrapping orders, doing some last minute shopping, preparing Qi-En's school's Christmas concert, upcoming birthday party at home and at her school (yeah, the princess asked for TWO parties).

Time flies, and it seems like yesterday my sister just popped with her 2nd baby. I scrapped a 6 by 6 album for my baby niece Shernice's 1st birthday. She was full of smiles at the 60pax party, so cool and calm, unfazed by the attention and love showered on herself:)

altered an american craft album cover and I realised I'm not so good with polka dots

lazy so I only took pics of some of the layouts. very simple ones

and a love note for my dear niece:)

phew~! did this album in a week of late nights - I'm such a procrastinator! Sis also took out the albums I did for Shervelle previously and Im glad to see my scrapping skill has improved slightly over 2-3years. heheh...

some more altered frames

promised april to do a mock-up for her xmas orders as i want to try an altered frame with lots of details, sans the photo. It seems to be the trend now if u blog-hop around.

So here I am with my very first official mockup - and of coz the end product is now with mdm chia.

i started off with some old xmas PP - played around without any sketch in mind, and ended up with this.

pretty satisfied with this first project. I love how the mini MR kraft tix blend into the christmas feel of family warmth, celebration and joy. isn't this is what christmas is all abt?! ;)

this is a super aged photo - when En was 18mos. I had printed it extra while working on a LO,and so decided to scrap it into a frame

my one and only challeng in 2010: {Home Girl}

alright, i haven't been taking part in scrapping challenges since 2007 (when En was born). The last time I did a 'live' challenge was at Laines (in 2006..phew!).

So I was rather tempted when I got invited to Sandy’s Challenge. I'm always tempted to join challenges, but by the time I've settled down with the purchases required, and have the time for it - its already past duedate. So I set my mind really firm this time and armed with limited supply from g.c.d. studio's Homespun Chic Collection (love this collection, but controlled hard not to spend unnecessarily) - I created an altered frame using the title "Home Girl". This is going to be a Xmas gift for a domesticated goddess friend of mine:)

just paper and glass paper clips. The latter is something that you should 'hog'!! ;P

using: g.c.d studio's PP and glass paperclips / Maya Rd's chipboard / Basic Grey's diecut/ MM mini legal letterings and Autumn Leaves' buttons.

i lurvveeeeeeeee the glass paperclip and so hate to part with them...

i can never seem to finish this bag of AL buttons that I bought 2 Christmas ago!! Loads of goodies in it!

the MM mini lettering are my best friend. U can find them in at least 80% of my work

a little anecdote:

we were window shopping as usual with hubby and girls at City Square on a weekend, while I popped into Krafer's Paradise and stepped out with the goodies. Hubby threw me one of his dirty looks that says "buying scrapbook stuff again??". I quickly answered: don't stare at me, this is for a challenge'. He laughed. Laughed because I'm giving excuses to buy? Or laughed because he thinks I'm too naive to join a challenge.

It was the latter. What a boring man with no inspiration in life to look forward to..hahaha

u know - daiso has always been my fave store with all their knick knacks. Its not tough to walk out with something in your hand everytime I visit it.

Lately, they have quite a few great stuff for papercraft - these brads at $2 for 9 (or 12) pieces is a steal. Honestly, I'm not sure at such a cheap price, is it really acid-free. It would be great for card-making, just avoid using them on your precious photos. I've bought 2 packs!

its time to scrap christmas gift and avoid the last minute rush. I love this quirky label stickers that I got from OTC at a steal ;P

phew..October has been a busy month at work, busy is an understatement - it was CRAZY. I'm so glad the most hectic period is over..and now it is time for some good scrapping (hopefully).

{adoration} - trying out Maya Road Mist

I've been seeing lovely works using Maya Rd Mist by Organised Clutter and other scrappers, but never got to try it for myself, until I saw this tutorial on YSS. Reason why I've been hesitating to try is because of the price and I always wonder how frequent am I gonna use it (looking at the bottles of MM acrylic paints I have been cold-storaging for the past few years).

Papermarket was having some promo for their 1st anniversary and I managed to win a 30% voucher on the spot, and so here I am - armed with a Red bottle of MR Mist, so eager to try out. While the two girls was napping on Sunday, I did a quick LO of this long overdue picture of hubby and #2.

The chipboard owl and word were from MR of coz, sprayed with MR Mist. I've amazed that I only need a little mist to cover the chipboard. Drying was pretty fast too! Less than 10 mins, and not at all messy. I applied Tattered Angel's pearlised mist on top of the word chipboard to give it some glimmer. Too bad my mobile phone's camera did not capture the effect well:)

I'm so going to lay my hands on a few more bottle of MR Mist ;)

Even though I have been making some of En's Teacher's Day gifts during my maternity, but I have been procrastinating and it sort of got KIV after my Bintan trip. Such a terrible procrastinator I was that I have to rush the projects over the weekend. Thankfully, it is all completed just in time for her teachers!

the cute owl 'epoxy' stickers are bought from a market near my workplace at a dollar each sheet. definitely not acid-free, but they look great for children's cards:)

i love to make tag in 'bus pass holders' for kids' birthday whenever possible. Got this idea from Aunt April, and kids can hang it to their bags like a luggage tag ;) Unique rite?

Mother's Day Gifts

It has been a busy weekend for us celebrating Xuan's full month and with confinement lady leaving. Did not have much time to scrap for mother's day gifts as i'm busy scrapping xuan's 1st year album:)

So I got sis and my SIL a gift and some quick tags to go along:)

Mothers tend to fuss over gifts bought from the store, so i did a quick scrap of photo frame for Mum and MIL. These are very easy to make, and can be done in 20mins. Here is what you need for one frame:

- one frame

- 4R photo x 1 - preferably with border to bring focus to the photo

- patterned paper (avoid busy prints so the focus is on the photo)

- buttons and ribbons

Steps:

1) Trim Patterned paper to fit insides of frame

2) Paste photo to pattern paper and fit into frame

3) ty on ribbons, and stick on buttons. Voila - u have a personalised gift:)

The weather for this weekend was cooling with the rain. I welcomed it, and so did Hubby and En - both napped while I scrapped. Even though I've already tidy up the Baby cum Scrapping Room for the impending arrival (when is it.... me so 'sum si si' aka anxious), I have my frequently scrap supply stashed in an Amazon carton, so I can scrap if I want to..hehehe *mum said #2 will be itchy fingers again...like qi-en, coz I'm still scrapping in my last final weeks*.

LO#1 {FAMILY MATTERS} - in celebration of hubby's birthday this year. We had a movie date in the afternoon, fetched En early from school and had hotpot dinner, with an awfully nice cake to wrap up the nite. Isn't it nice:)

Easter Project

This is nothing scrapbook-related, but a craft project that I came up with to 'confine' our little hyperactive princess at home over the last weekend.

Easter chocolate eggs for her classmates

Materials:
- egg shells from those 'tikam machines' (good recycling idea)
- chocolates (i've got from Hersheys golden eggs, Reese bunnies and Fruit-flavoured chewies)
- crepe paper of different colors cut into stripes
- white glue (i used my mod podge)

she packed all the 20+ eggs by herself after I showed her once

Instructions:

1) Dip one bottom of the egg shell into white glue

2) Dunk into the crepe streamers. Let dry. (a few hours, so she took her nap)

3) Fill the insides of the bottom egg shell with some streamers for color, and add in the goodies.

4) cover with the other half of the egg shell (see-thru side)

5) Bingo..packed and ready to give:)

this project kept her occupied for the whole saturday (including nap time) - lots of fun:)

these LOs are especially scrapped for our little princess who has turned THREE in a bat of an eyelid. I still remember counting those sleepless nights where she would simply refuse to z till wee hours in the morning. Watching her grow is alot of joy & sometimes pain (when she gets too handful to handle). Nonetheless, parenthood is enjoyable and makes me a better person. I hope she grows up to be a healthy, happy and confident little lady:)

I first tried my hand at altering gift box with this, then I got hooked. Its fun but I think only people who would appreciate my work will keep the boxes. it helps me to play my part for recycling instead of throwing them away.

pls don't throw them away if u ever received one from me... alot of work :) U can give it back or recycle for someone else:)

Friends who know me well will know that I'm a sucker for organising my stuff. Here are some recent orders before the CNY.

My friend's friend ordered these frames & notebook for a farewell gift at work. I was abit worried with this order as the recipient is a graphic designer - it would be a challenge and embarassing if I created something not nice ;) But at the same time, I was honoured to be tasked with this project. I hope the recipient will love these:)

..and here is a 24page 8 by 8 album that my colleagues commissioned for a father-at-work. I believe the mummy will appreciate this first year album more than anyone ;) Pls click the picture for bigger view.

that's all i have at the moment. Am working on 2 coaster album order - after which I will be closing {mamashop} for a few months, to catch some good rest and in anticipation of the arrival of my 2nd princess:)

this year, i did not scrap much for V-day as I promised to take a good rest during the CNY. I only managed to make these 3 tags last nite for sis, bro and tian's to go along with the chocolate gifts that I bought for them. So this is really limited edition from me ;)

i tot i could have scrap a mini album for my dear hubby - but im sooooooooo tired lately. i know he wouldn't mind coz i got him another gift which he needs and is more practical for a guy ;)

I tried making a few paper flowers from Aunt April’s YSS tutorial and it was fun. But a gentle reminder, its only good with thinner papers as u need to 'pleat' them into a circle.

My proudest 2010 achievement - 22 cards 'massively producted' in 3 hours flat on last Thursday night. Great that En was cooperative and zzzz really early so I can start working on these cards.

The tips for quick cards I've learnt (1) plan the sketch in advance and try not to vary too much, otherwise u will be wasting time thinking (2) pre-cut the materials u need, so u can keep on moving like a production line (3) limit yourself to X amount of embellishments and have them ready, so u don't waste time fumbling around.

So far the response from the recepients are good. Thanks everyone and Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

I've been reading many scrappers' blog on altering boxes and so I decided to try my hand at a small one. Got this mini mooncake paper box from Ah Sze and I altered it for a colleague's coming birthday. I love the results!!! Very encouraged to try more next time:)
